Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ)

Blaydon Grapplers' Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) program caters to all skill levels, focusing on technical and practical aspects. Experienced instructors help students improve self-defence skills while fostering confidence, discipline, and camaraderie in a supportive environment. The structured curriculum promotes progressive learning, enabling participants to reach personal goals at their own pace.

MMA

The MMA program at Blaydon Grapplers caters to all skill levels, from beginners to experienced fighters. It focuses on essential techniques in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and wrestling, emphasising both striking and grappling. Participants receive expert coaching in a supportive environment, enhancing fitness, self-discipline, and mental resilience. Regular sparring and competitions offer practical experience and build community, making it ideal for improving martial arts skills.

Mini Jiu-Jitsu (5-7yrs)

The mini BJJ program introduces children aged 5 to 7 to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fundamentals in a fun environment. It focuses on skills like coordination, balance, and teamwork while promoting values such as respect and discipline. Classes include age-appropriate techniques and games to build confidence and achievement. Emphasising safety and sportsmanship, the program teaches self-defence and encourages healthy habits and a passion for martial arts.

NoGi Jiu-Jitsu

The NoGi program at Blaydon Grapplers provides a dynamic environment for all skill levels. Emphasising grappling techniques without a gi there is a strong focus on takedowns, submissions, and positional control. The program focuses on fluid movement and adaptability, enabling athletes to apply skills in realistic scenarios. Guided by expert instructors, it fosters individual growth and camaraderie, building confidence and resilience on and off the mat.

MMA striking

MMA striking class introduces fundamental stand-up combat techniques, focusing on Muay Thai, boxing, and kickboxing. Participants learn key striking skills like punches, kicks, and knees while improving footwork and defence. The class emphasises precision, timing, and power, encouraging individual styles and coordination. Overall, the class aims to build confidence and competence in striking for both competitive and recreational MMA.

Kids Jiu-Jitsu (8+ yrs)

Blaydon Grapplers proudly offers a dedicated Jiu-Jitsu program specifically for children aged 8 and above, which is thoughtfully designed to develop both their physical skills and enhance their mental discipline. Our engaging classes focus on essential self-defence techniques, effective grappling, and thorough competition preparation, all within a safe and structured environment that promotes learning and growth.
